How to prepare physically
Tawaf and Sa'ee involve a lot of walking. Start walking daily a few weeks before departure. Elderly pilgrims should speak to their doctor and ask about wheelchair arrangements at the Haram.
How to prepare spiritually
Learn the duas for each stage, settle any outstanding dues or disputes before leaving, and make intention (niyyah) sincerely. Many pilgrims find it helpful to attend a pre-departure briefing with their group.
How to pick the right package
Match hotel distance to who is travelling, check exactly what is included, and read the cancellation terms. Our guides on Umrah packages from Pune and from Mumbai explain this in more detail.
